Mountain Biking is for everyone! Some of our trails have been designed specifically for adaptive mountain bikes, and we're continually testing and expanding this network. The Wesburn Shorty is our first adaptive route on offer.

General
The trails at Warburton Bike Park are managed and maintained by Yarra Ranges Council.
The Wesburn Park trailhead offers a range of rider-friendly facilities, including bike wash, pump track, toilets, showers, picnic areas, and a playground.
Wesburn Park is the main trailhead for Warburton Bike Park, offering everything you need to start your ride. Facilities include:

Please note: Wesburn Park is a shared-use facility. Follow all signage and respect other users to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
Warburton Bike Park is located about 70km east of Melbourne CBD.
- Nearest Airport: Melbourne Airport (Tullamarine)
- Nearest Train Station: Lilydale
- Public Transport: Limited bus services operate from Lilydale to Warburton.
- Driving: Free parking is available at the Wesburn Park trailhead, with additional parking options in Warburton town. Please follow all signage and check for any parking restrictions.

- April 2026: We’ll hit more than 60km, with new trails to explore.
- September 2026: More trails released, featuring three iconic elements that will put Warburton amongst the world’s must-visited bike parks.
- 2027: The full 125km Southern Network will be complete, delivering an unmatched riding experience.
Warburton Bike Park is open year-round during daylight hours, except on Total Fire Ban days, when the park will close and all trails will be inaccessible. Please do not visit during these times.
High winds and severe weather may also impact trail openings. Individual trails can close at any time for maintenance or safety reasons.

All trails are graded to international standards, which means our ‘green’ trails may feel more challenging than those at other networks.
The trails in the Warburton Bike Park have been purpose-built for mountain biking. You cannot walk, hike, horse ride or motor bike ride on the mountain bike trails.
We encourage the Pre-Ride, Re-Ride, Free-Ride approach: Start slow, check the trail, and get familiar before attempting features or jumps.
Safety
Warburton Bike Park will be closed on days of Total Fire Ban.
Gates throughout the network shut, and closures will be communicated via VMS message boards, social media and the website.
Always check conditions before you travel. We recommend downloading the Vic Emergency App.
The WBP team work closely with the local SES and other emergency response agencies.
Always call 000 in an emergency.
A helmet and appropriate footwear are mandatory, your safety comes first. We recommend at least an open-face helmet, plus riding glasses, gloves, and knee and elbow guards for added protection. For more extreme riding, consider a full-face helmet with goggles and a chest/back protector.
The trails in the Warburton Bike Park have been purpose-built for mountain biking.
You cannot walk, hike, horse ride or motor bike ride on the mountain bike trails.
In some sections there are brief intersections of trail use. Please pay attention to signage, take care and share these spaces safely.
