Know before you go

Plan ahead to enjoy the ride

Warburton Bike Park is built for everybody! For the best experience, find the trails and terrain that suits you best.

  • Beginning at Wesburn Park, there’s a 5km climb up into the network. This is a one-way trail and there’s no way down until the top.
  • Our trails are purpose-built mountain bike trails, and graded to an international standard – they may be a little different to trails you and your family have ridden before.
  • We encourage the Pre-Ride, Re-Ride, Free-Ride approach: Start slow, check the trail, and get familiar before attempting features or jumps.
  • Beginners could consider joining a guided ride or booking a session with a mountain bike coach.
  • Never ride alone – always have a riding buddy, and make sure someone knows where you are, and how to contact you. Make sure there’s an adult with kids under 12.
  • Safety gear – make sure you always ride with a helmet, suitable shoes and clothing. Check your bike and make sure everything is working before you hit the trails.
  • Always take water, snacks and basic first aid. For emergencies call 000.
  • Take a look at our critical information page for everything you need to know, including tips on trail safety and park etiquette.
